About Matt Lira
Matt Lira has a unique mixture of experiences in government, national campaigns and the private sector; his career has been centered at the cross-section of government, politics and the emerging digital economy. Previous experiences include serving as the Special Assistant to the President for Innovation Policy at the White House Office of American Innovation, where he oversaw the adoption and implementation of a broad policy portfolio.
In the 2014 cycle, Matt served as the Deputy Executive Director of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, which successfully defended every incumbent Senator and delivered the largest Senate gain in a midterm election since 1958. On Capitol Hill, he has 15 years of experience in various senior staff roles in the House Leadership, including during the 2010 election cycle in which House Republicans achieved a net gain of 63 seats. In 2015, Matt served as an Institute of Politics Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School, focused on the impacts of the digital economy on the Nation’s governing institutions.
